While at PDP Studio, Tom worked alongside Capital and Counties CG Ltd and Knight Harwood Ltd, on the £12m refurbishment of a landmark building located within Covent Garden, London.

The building was converted from an office use to a mixed use building consisting of 9 high-end residential apartments and a large A3 use unit at ground and lower ground floor.

The refurbishment of this project involved completely stripping out the existing internal building contents as well as the majority of it’s structural elements.

The basement level was lowered and a new slab installed. The existing roof was modified to improve its performance and to include a roof terrace and plant area.

As Principal Designers and Lead Consultants it was our responsibility to ensure a compliant design, which involved fully coordinating Architectural, Structural and MEP information.
