While at PDP Studio, Tom worked alongside Capital and Counties CG Ltd and Knight Harwood Ltd, on this £7m refurbishment of both the grade II and grade II* listed buildings located within Covent Garden, London.

The buildings were converted from a retail / office use to a mixed use building consisting of 10 high-end residential apartments and a retail unit at ground floor.

The refurbishment of this project involved completely stripping out the existing buildings’ contents as well as a large proportion of it’s structural elements. The basement level was lowered and a new slab installed. An extension to the roof was included to form an additional internal story with an external roof terrace.

As Principal Designers and Lead Consultants it was our responsibility to ensure a compliant design, which involved fully coordinating Architectural, Structural and MEP information.
