This project involved the comprehensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of a flat within a Georgian townhouse in central London. Working in collaboration with VC Property, Meraki provided full technical design services to transform what was a tired, dated interior into a contemporary home that respects and celebrates the building's historic character.

The layout was reconfigured to create an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space that takes full advantage of the property's generous ceiling heights and elegant floor-to-ceiling doors and windows which lead out onto the balcony. Original features, including timber shutters, deep skirting boards, and decorative mouldings, were restored and retained as focal points throughout.

The completed flat demonstrates how sensitive, design-led refurbishment can unlock the potential of period properties. The transformation - from a neglected shell with bold but dated colour schemes to a refined, light-filled contemporary home - showcases the value of thoughtful space planning, quality materials, and attention to detail.
